In 2020, the creators of “Bosch”, an American detective fiction drama series on Amazon Prime about investigations, contacted Polimaster to obtain a radiation detector for an upcoming episode. They sought our Personal Radiation Detector (PRD) PM1703MO-IIBT as a prop for the scene since law enforcement widely uses this device to detect radiation, measure its intensity, and ensure safety by alerting users to hazardous levels.

In 2020, Polimaster launched the RadFlash® Electronic Personal Dosimeter, a lightweight and compact user-friendly active dosimeter that offers immediate information on the current radiological conditions as well as the possibility of real-time visualization of radiation exposure as a part of a real-time dosimetry system, ensuring that safety is never compromised during critical operations.

In 2020, the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office issued a $6.7M task order to acquire 2,364 Polimaster next-generation personal radiation detectors for the U.S. Coast Guard. We were honored to provide our maritime PRDs and contribute to enhancing their capability to detect and respond to radiological and nuclear threats.
