Polimaster Nuclear Protection Network

Polimaster proprietary Nuclear Protection Network system (Polimaster NPNET™) is a powerful tool for highly-effective radiation monitoring. It can be used for applications ranging from monitoring of State Borders, certain areas to covering the country regions. The information to the Polimaster NPNET system can be transferred from fixed and mobile radiation detectors of various types (radiation portal monitors, spectroscopic personal radiation detectors and radionuclide identifiers), thus providing real time data exchange between a user on-site and a remote Unified Command Center or Expert Group.

The Polimaster Nuclear Protection Network (Polimaster NPNET™) is a scaleable, two-tier system that introduces a new paradigm in the radiation detection and safety. A scaleable network allows for monitoring of the small areas covered by one or two radiation detectors, buildings as well as entire city blocks or even large country regions using hundreds of detectors.

Users in the field have local capabilities to detect radiation and identify alarming events in real time. This local capability allows for quick disposition of nuisance alarms without allowing a real threat to be overlooked.

A management team, working from a unified command center (UCC), will have immediate access to the location, intensity, and isotopic characteristics of all alarming events via Polimaster NPNET™ system.

This situational awareness gives management and reach back teams the information to make decisions quickly. In additional to the event management, the expert team and command center utility provide unprecedented ability to collect statistical data and map the radiation baseline for the region where Polimaster NPNET™ is used.

Real time alarming protocols can be developed to give multiple users immediate notification in the event of a radiation alarm. Access to the network is protected through an encrypted management module allowing for multiple levels of password protection. The network can validate isotopic classification issues, such as discerning medical isotopes from unusual, weapons-grade sources of radiation.

Finally, the network approach to radiation detection that empowers the law enforcement officer to make decisions based on expert reach back, in real time, without the need for advanced spectroscopic training.
